WHO WE ARE

As a college advisor, I believe that the college application process should be student-driven, exploratory, and individualized.

My journey into college advising began at home, guiding three of my sons through their application processes. What started as a personal mission quickly grew into a professional calling. Through countless hours of research, collaboration with educators, professional development, and firsthand experience navigating deadlines, essays, and decisions, I discovered a passion: to empower all students to find their passions and pursue opportunities with clarity, confidence and purpose. At Horizon College Advising, I offer personalized, student-centered guidance that supports each individual’s goals, strengths, and growth. I believe in empowering students to take ownership of their journey, building skills that extend far beyond college and into a lifetime of learning.

My students have been accepted to a variety of universities, including MIT, NYU, Penn State, UT Austin, UT San Antonio, Texas A&M, Trinity University, Baylor University, and many more. 

To deepen my expertise, I completed the College Access Counseling Certificate program from Rice University. I hold a Texas Teaching Certificate in LOTE Spanish (K-12). As a fully bilingual educator, I am committed to supporting all students, including international and multilingual students, to reach their higher education goals. 

To stay connected to best practices in the field, I am an active member of the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
